An atmosphere in surround.

A jungle sound ambience created as a sound effects exercise by Guillaume Louyot. Version 2.0 explored an atmosphere designed for 5.1 surround playback.

Building a sense of place through sound.

Jungle 5.1 was a sound design training project, presented on my website in August 2003. The idea was to build a jungle ambience in a multichannel format, giving the sound a space around the listener.

The original page introduced the piece as an audio SFX exercise. It belongs to the experimental side of my work with sound and moving images.
