Where it started.
Guillaume Louyot’s personal Amiga archive: A500, A500+, A1200, OctaMED, Deluxe Paint, games and memories of the demoscene.
From the CPC 6128 to the Amiga.
I bought my first Amiga with encouragement from Grégoire P. and his father Sylvain, who had seen me playing on an Amstrad CPC 6128. Thank you both: it opened up a different world for me.
I started with an Amiga 500 and an extra 512 KB of RAM. An Amiga 500+ followed, with my first 48 MB hard drive. Later came an Amiga 1200 AGA with 8 MB of RAM, an 850 MB hard drive and a Blizzard 68030 accelerator running at 50 MHz.
These are memories from my Amiga years. The original page did not record precise dates for each machine.

OctaMED, Deluxe Paint and the demoscene.
I remember my first music sessions in OctaMED. Some Undertraxx tracks were started on the Amiga, alongside my first graphic experiments in Deluxe Paint. Those early explorations of sound and images remain part of my creative background.
Then there were the demos and megademos: TRSI, TBL, Melon Design, Phenomena, Crystal, Paradigm, Fairlight, Razor 1911 and Budbrain. The original page was a tribute to that excitement, as much as a collection of emulation links.
Games I remember.
And beyond the games, there were tools such as FileMaster and Directory Opus: file managers for browsing drawers, copying files and keeping disks organised. A different kind of Amiga pleasure — making the machine your own.
